As we have been in business for more than half a century, we have a long history of providing product branding solutions for some of Australia’s iconic products - and many of those products you won’t see around today! We like to keep copies or prototypes of the nameplates, badges and labels we have created over the years, so our archives room is overflowing with nostalgic goodies that evoke memories and are great conversation starters.
In this fifth instalment of ‘Our Archives Treasures’, we look at another three items which needed three different types of branding solutions.
HSV - Holden Special Vehicles - Nameplate

Our relationship with HSV - Holden Special Vehicles stretched right back to when they commenced operations. Along the way, we've made some great-looking parts for them and these two have to be some of the very best. The part was supplied between 1994 and 1996 for fitment to the rocker covers on the engine for the VR and VS range of HSV vehicles.

Gloss aluminium was the material of choice for this engine nameplate. Printed multi-colour with embossed silver detail and formed down edges. It also had a printed texture on the black surface and was adhesive-backed. The total production volume over 3 years was around 10,000 parts.

Summernats Entrant - Badges

From 1991 to 2007 we made the Summernats Entrant badges. The badges were screen printed multi-colour and finished off with our Lenscal clear resin doming. One had embossed aluminium highlights while others were printed with interference pearlescent and chrome inks.

The year is 1999. An iconic Australian brand decides to run a promotion by giving away Russell Hobbs toasters with a Lenscal domed badge on each side. And our badge still looks great after more than 2 decades.
