Earlier this year, we started going through our 50-years worth of archives and samples, just to see if we could unearth anything interesting.
As it turns out, our archives are filled with hidden treasures!
The most remarkable and rewarding part for us is that all of these treasures look as good as the day they were first created. A true testament to the durability and reliability of our labels and badges.
In this first blog in our “From the Archives” series, we are going to look at a few metal nameplates.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane.
First up, we found a metal nameplate we made for the Namco Kitchencrafter pressure cooker, dating from the mid-1970s. It was made from 0.5mm gloss aluminium, anodised and adhesive-backed for application into the upper handle moulding, as can be seen in the inset picture.
Below is the actual picture of the nameplate as we found it.
Here's another product sample from the Luna archives. How long has it been since we've seen one of these parking meters on our streets? And 20 cents for 1 hour of parking. WOW!
Again, our metal nameplate looks as good as the day it was made.
Inside the meter box of Australian homes in the 1970s was an Email Ltd Electricity Meter Type M-1 (and let’s face it, some of these are still in use in older Australian homes today)!
We've still got one of the original metal nameplate parts we supplied which carried the unique household and meter data.
It’s not just fun and interesting to look at these blasts from the past. These products are a testament to the longevity and hardiness of LNI’s metal nameplates.
Our metal nameplates are designed to keep looking as good as the day they were made. They are highly durable under a wide range of challenging conditions including high temperatures, long outdoor exposure, abrasion, salt spray and chemicals.
At LNI, we can manufacture nameplates from high-grade aluminium or 300 series stainless steel, depending on your requirements – and we offer a range of flexible features and options:
When your brand matters, we can provide robust, Australian-made, designed, and manufactured solutions.
